Mary Jane

Joe Tully manufactured two special pens for ‘small hands’, both of these fountain pens were named after two of his daughters, Mary Jane and Margie. No one in the current family has, to their knowledge ever seen a Margie pen, but ironically, Joe Lee, Margie’s son has a Mary Jane in his collection. He reports that he and his mother attempted to find a ‘Margie’ pen without success.

Below are some detailed pictures of the Mary Jane pen owned by Joe Lee. Of particular note is the fact that, the Eclipse name cannot be found on the pen anywhere. Both the clip and nib have only the name ‘Mary Jane’ imprinted. It may be that the upper part of the nib does contain the Eclipse brand but until the nib is removed or another Mary Jane is discovered we will never know…
